A reading by HALL GARDNER who will be reading a selection of poetry while discussing the main themes of his book, American Global Strategy and the "War on terrorism"...


Hall Gardner is Professor of the Department of International and Comparative Politics at the American University of Paris.

His political publications include, American Global Strategy and the "War on Terrorism" (Ashgate, 2005) ;  Dangerous Crossroads: Europe, Russia and the Future of NATO (Praeger, 1997); Surviving the Millennium:  American Global Strategy, the Collapse of the Soviet Empire, and the Question of Peace (Praeger, 1994). His article "Aligning for the Future" appeared in  the Harvard International Review (Winter 2003). In May 2003, he was invited by Mikhail Gorbachev to speak at the World Political Forum conference, held in Torino, Italy.  

His poems have been published in numerous small press publications, such as Sheets for Men Only: An International Anthology of Poetry & Prose, edited by Claire Kinnanon (Dancing Ink Press, 2004); FireReadings (Frank: Paris 1991); the Peace or Perish Crisis Anthology (Poets for Peace: San Francisco, 1983); as well as in the Unrealist, Catalyst, Visions, Ultramarino, Three Sisters (Georgetown University), Sol (Howard University), Colgate Portfolio (Colgate University), not to overlook dozens of poems in the Paris Atlantic in the decade 1990-2000(American University of Paris). His work has recently been published on the website of Poets Against the War (2003)
